Elizabeth Scott was born in a small town in Virginia in 1972, the daughter of two high school teachers. She majored in European Studies in college, where she met her future husband. In addition to writing Young Adult novels, Scott has held some distinctly unglamorous jobs including pantyhose salesman. Her first published book, Bloom, came out in 2007. She realizes that people who say that high school is the best time of your life do not even remotely remember being in high school.
