Profile

British born author Alan Beechey grew up in London and attended Oxford University.  He moved to Manhattan while still in his 20s and worked in employee and marketing communications.  It wasn’t a good fit.  He was also Director of Staff Communications for Citicorp.  I don’t know how that one went.  In 2013 Beechey published a non-fiction book with co-author Gina Teague – a Culture Smart! guide to US customs and culture.  He began writing fiction much earlier – publishing the first in his Oliver Swithin Mystery series – An Embarrassment of Corpses – back in 1997.  That was followed in 1999 by Murdering Ministers.  It would be 15 years before the third installment, This Private Plot, appeared.  His fans and followers hope he doesn’t wait that long for book #4.

Beechey lives in New York with his sons and his dog.  He also has a hilarious biography up on his Amazon author page.
