Maria Semple
Born in California and raised in Spain, LA and Colorado, author Maria Semple knew all about writing for a living – her father was a screenwriter.
Following in his footsteps, Semple has written for TV series such as Beverly Hills, 90210, Mad About You and Arrested Development. After screenwriting for 15 years, she decided to become a full time novelist. Semple’s first book was This One is Mine (2008), followed by the critically acclaimed Where’d You Go, Bernadette? in 2012.
Semple lives in Seattle with her partner and their daughter.
