Born in 1938, author Francine Pascal began her writing career with soap opera scripts for The Young and the Marrieds in 1964.  Her collaborator on those scripts, John Pascal, would go on to become her husband a year later.  Pascal wrote her first YA novel in 1977 (Hangin’ Out With CiCi) and has written numerous successful novels and series since.  Perhaps her most well know is the Sweet Valley High series, which was made into a TV series.  Two of her early novels were also made into After School Specials.

Pascal and John had 3 daughters.  He passed away in 1981. Pascal lives in New York and France.
