Profile
Born in San Diego in 1980, Justin Halpern’s rise to authorial fame began with a Twitter account. Already writing full time for Maxim online, Halpern was forced by circumstance to move in with his parents in 2009. Having kept track of his father’s comments for years, he began to place them on Twitter. Soon enough he gained a following and not long after his hit book Sh*t My Dad Says was born.
The success of the book led to a short lived TV series of the same name starring William Shatner. His second book, I Suck at Girls, led to the equally short lived (but undeservedly so – it was very funny) TV show Surviving Jack, starring Christopher Meloni.
Halpern no longer lives with his parents, which is fortunate for his wife (whom he married in 2011). They live in California.
