Book Bicycle (300x233)We have a winner for our first-ever flash-fiction contest! The winning story will be posted on our blog on July 19, so keep an eye out. Thanks to everyone who participated, and we encourage you to submit your stories for the next contest period, which goes through August 1.

About our flash fiction contest: Flash fiction tells a full story in just a few sentences or paragraphs. It’s a great summer challenge for the aspiring writer or the full-time author and gives you the chance to reach out to our audience with your best stories.

The fine print: You can submit one story, between 300 and 700 words, using the Readers Lane Contact Form. Only one submission per person, please. Multiple submissions from the same person will be disqualified. Along with your story, tell us (and our readers) a bit about yourself in a short (no more than 100 words) biography. You can send in a story by the 1st and 15th of every month, meaning that each contest lasts two weeks and is followed by another two-week contest period. You may resubmit previous submissions for another chance to win.

If we choose to post your story on our blog, you’ll be notified by email. Good luck and we look forward to seeing your great fiction ideas!

By participating in the contest, you agree to all of our terms and conditions.
