American author and humorist, Ian Frazier (b. 1951) grew up in Ohio and graduated from Harvard University in 1973, where he cut his teeth writing for the Harvard Lampoon. Following a brief stint as a writer for Oui magazine he became a staff writer for The New Yorker. He has gone on to pen numerous critically acclaimed non-fiction and humor works, including Great Plains, Travels in Siberia and Coyote vs. Acme.
