Ally Condie graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in Education. She taught high school English in New York and Utah before turning full time to writing. Her first novel, Yearbook, the first in a trilogy, was published in 2006. The first book in her second trilogy, Matched, was met with good reviews, high sales and an option on the movie rights from Disney.
Condie continues to write Young Adult fiction from her home in Utah, where she lives with her family.
