A professor of creative writing at Princeton University, Tracy K. Smith (b. 1972) won the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry for her third published collection of poems, Life on Mars. This work – as well as her two previous collections, Duende and The Body’s Question – was published by Graywolf Press. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband – poet and literary scholar Raphael Allison – and their three children.
